The Days Stood Still began in the spring of 2021, after a deep family loss. Returning to my childhood home in Moscow, I found a place that once felt busy and full of sound, now quiet, as if it were holding its breath. I photographed the rooms and surrounding grounds as a way of holding on to what remained. The work reflects on memory, absence, and the quiet traces we leave behind, asking if our surroundings continue to hold the shape of us after we are no longer here.
