Take Good Care reflects on memory and the rituals that shape how we hold on to those who came before us. Through black-and-white portraits, alongside clothing and objects passed down from the maternal side of my family, the work explores the idea of family lineage, particularly how it unfolds through the lives of women. These things, worn and ordinary, are remnants of their lives that now hold new meaning as part of my own story. I’m interested in the ways identities and stories are carried from one generation to the next. This work sits somewhere between memory and record, between what we hold onto and what slips through.
